Fragile X Syndrome

Fragile X syndrome is a hereditary condition which causes a wide range of mental impairment, and is the most common known cause of Autism. Characteristics can include autistic behaviors, speech difficulties, attention deficits, poor eye contact, learning disabilities and sensory defensiveness. It occurs in both males and females, but is typically more severe in males.
